Founder's Letter
Hi! I am Glorianna, but most everyone calls me Glo. I have been in the fitness industry since 2005, when I began instructing Jazzercise. My love for dance and fitness was the one big draw to this organization as I could get my cardio in while I danced. One of the things I love. I started my journey about 50lbs overweight. As I became active, my passion for fitness grew, and I decided to try things I had never dreamt possible. I signed up for my 1st half marathon in San Diego. I had several people tell me that they did not think that I could do it. But I trained for about 4 months, starting slowly and in June 2011, I successfully completed my first 1/2 marathon. From there, no one could stop me.
I participated in several more races and in 11/2012, I hit another milestone. I completed my 1st full marathon in Tulsa Oklahoma. My desire continued to grow, and decided that I wanted to partake in a triathlon. I could swim but not at the level that was required. This was a 600 meter swim, 10.6 bike ride & 3.2 mile run. I was so proud of completing this in Tempe. AZ in 2013. From there, I started competing in OCR races. Since, I have completed 2 Tough Mudders and over 28 Spartan races. These races not only required endurance, but required upper body strength. So I started weight training and not only did I feel fantastic, I loved the definition I was getting. I always thought that lifting weights would make me bulky, but I soon learned that women did not have the hormones that causes muscles to build as big as mens do. I was getting the nice lean muscle that I desired, and needed to complete the obstacles in OCR.
While participating in many of these races, my career was in hospitality. I worked for some of the most well known brands, such as Marriott, Destination Hotels and KSL Resorts. Spending 14 years in management taught me about stellar customer service. I learned so much working for these brands that I understand the need to communicate and appreciate your customers.
Jumping to 2017. I was able to devote my time solely to fitness. I received my ISSA certification as a Fitness Trainer and since have received certifications in Corrective Exercise, Nutrition Coaching and Spartan SGX training. I love working with clients and seeing them hit their goals.
Here comes 2020, with COVID. The gyms are closed. This hit everyone so unexpectedly. I soon found that one of the gyms I had been working for would not survive COVID. There were so many members that I cared about that I continued to stay in contact with them, checking on them and making sure they were getting their workouts in. This is where BBG was born. I now offer online virtual classes where you are able to work out in the comfort of your own home while having my on your screen. All I ask is that you give 100% and share your screen so that I can see you and to motivate you when you are about to give up and most importantly, watch your form. I also try to do a lot of the workout as well so I understand what you are feeling. This way no one works out alone. Being with like minded people is so much more fun.
I will have to say that I love to have fun. I create my workouts so I can tailor them to anyone, no matter what kind of equipment they have or what type of shape they are in. The more information I know about you, the better I can work with you on your goals. Everyone is different.
My customers are #1. I have created a Facebook page and a messenger group so that I can stay in constant contact with my group. For those that are unable to make my classes, I record them so you are able to do them later. If I don’t hear from you, I will check in. I will message, text, call. Whatever is needed to keep you on the right track. Communication is key and am always looking for information that will allow you to reach your goals.
